Common questions

How do you price engagements?

Fixed price for well-defined scopes, and time-and-materials for discovery or open-ended work. We will tell you which one an engagement should be, and we will not quote a fixed price for something nobody understands yet — that pricing model only works by padding the number or cutting quality later.

Can you handle both the consulting and the technology side of a project?

Yes, and it is the arrangement we are built for. The operating model we design is one we then have to make work in a real system, which is a strong discipline against designing processes nobody can run. You can also buy either practice on its own — a good proportion of our consulting work is delivered for clients whose technology is handled elsewhere.

Who owns the code?

You do, on delivery. Source code, infrastructure accounts and documentation. There is no licensing arrangement that keeps you tied to us.

Can you work with our existing development team?

Yes, and often that is the better arrangement. We work alongside internal teams, review architecture, take a workstream, or fill a specific capability gap.

How long does company formation take?

It depends on the entity type, the activity and whether there are non-Saudi shareholders, and most of the variance comes from the order in which approvals are sought rather than from the approvals themselves. We will give you a realistic sequence and timeline for your specific case at the outset, and tell you which steps can run in parallel.

Can a non-Saudi shareholder own a company outright?

For many activities, yes, through a MISA investment licence — but the permitted ownership, the capital requirement and the licensing route all depend on the specific activity you intend to carry out. That is a determination to make before filing, not after, because the activity list on the licence is what governs what you may invoice for.
